Hello, folks!
Finally, after two-and-a-half years, I got the offer to work from home– full time! It’s been a long, frustrating battle with admin just to be able to get this, and in the end, I got it! I started my first day on Monday: it was sort of a last-minute offer, so I didn’t have time to set up my work station yet at home, but I did purchase a standing desk and will wait for that to come to have a nice place to do my job. The perks are that I no longer have to commute to the office, deal with finding parking (which is a nightmare), and see so many people. Not to say I don’t like people, haha, but with my company having hired so many people in the last month or so, I just don’t want to deal with the office being crowded and getting potential exposed to the flu (or COVID, god forbid).
Any case, this is big news, and I look forward to seeing how teleworking goes for me. This is a new adventure in my job, and I can’t wait!

Well done! I love teleworking, even though I now live 10 minutes walk from the office. But at the same time, I like to meet up regularly with my team members and the other teams I work with, it takes both.
I agree with you! While I’ll miss my coworker friends in the office, now that I’m full-time teleworking, I know I’ll still keep in touch with them via chat and text. Hoping for the best!
