Just before reaching our accommodation for out two night’s stay, we made quick stops at Pismo Beach and Morro Bay, two of the small beach cities in and around San Luis Obispo. It had been over a decade since I last stopped in these places: they’re both mainly for tourism, for its surfing, boardwalk promenade, and overall beach vibes.
Sadly, it was extremely overcast when we visited that day, to the point that even part of the Morro Bay Rock was partially-shrouded in fog! Fortunately, we managed to capture Morro Bay Rock in its entirety on our drive back home a few days later, although I only took a photo of it as we zipped along the highway, i.e. we didn’t stop this time.
Pismo Beach was cloudy and chilly that afternoon, but there were still plenty of people out and about, presumably on their spring break. We got lucky finding parking a block or two from the pier, and we walked down to stroll the boardwalk and get coffee at a cute, octopus-themed cafe just steps from the sand. Admittedly, the coffee was not good at all, but we live and we learn…
More adventures coming soon. Stayed tuned! 🙂

Thanks for taking some photos and sharing them, with such an overcast sky I would certainly have left my camera in the bag, only to regret it later.
I take photos even in non-ideal weather. Better to do so than regret it later, as you said!
