Today is Pi Day, a day to celebrate the mathematical symbol pi (π). March 14th is the today to celebrate it, as the date’s numbers (3/14) correlate to pi’s 3.14. Pi Day is a day not only to spread awareness of the ubiquitous math symbol, but also to celebrate with plenty of pie, as its name is a homonym and also relates to pi’s use in calculating circles and circular objects (including traditional pies). I have been celebrating it for the past decade since high school, as I really enjoy pie. I’ve bought pies before in the past, but this year, I decided to make my own pies. This year, I made mini key lime pies!
I hope you can celebrate Pi Day with some delicious pie (or circular dessert), and I wish you a wonderful day! 🙂
