Hello, folks!
January 20th is Penguin Awareness Day in which the world celebrates the beloved Antarctic bird. It’s also a day to raise awareness, as they are an endangered species. As penguins are my favorite animal, it’s appropriate of me to partake in this special day.
Besides donning my *numerous* penguin apparel for the day, I also donated to the Global Penguin Society, an international organization based in Patagonia (Chile/Argentina) that’s dedicated to penguin conservation, specifically the endangered Magellanic penguin and Rockhopper penguin. While I know my donation may be small in the grand scheme of things, I think anything can go a long way to help keep this adorable species alive!
I encourage you to make a donation here (when you click “Donate,” it’ll redirect to the Wildlife Conservation Network, which donates 92% of the proceeds to the program and has a guaranteed high rating on the Charity Navigator for accountability/transparency and financial responsibility). Really, my love for penguins knows no bounds, and I wish you a wonderful day! 🙂
