Destination: Carlsbad Flower Fields, California

Two weekends ago, I had an extended three-day weekend off from work. It also happened to be my birthday weekend, so I took a short day trip over to Carlsbad, a city in San Diego County where it’s known not just for the Legoland theme park, but also the Carlsbad Flower Fields, which bloom from March to May every year. The colorful flowers are known as “ranunculus,” also commonly-called “buttercups.” The Flower Field site is about 25 acres in total, and it’s a pleasant stroll through the fields to admire the multicolored petals, as well as many photo opportunities.

I highly recommend the Carlsbad Flower Fields should one visit southern California someday. Enjoy the photos! 🙂
