Welcome to September’s “Man Crush Monday,” in which I share my favorite male celebrity. This month is an old-school one, as it’s none other than Ryan Higa, a YouTuber whose channel nigahiga has amassed over 16 million subscribers.
Higa has been around for a long time, since the early days of YouTube. From his homemade tutorials “How to Be…” (gangster, ninja, etc.) to today’s longer skits and “I Dare You’s,” he has evolved and produced quality work that not only show his dedication, but also his passion to video-making. He’s not in it for-profit (as it seems with many aspiring YouTubers today), and he’s the real OG of this video-sharing platform.
Besides being funny and highly creative, I admit that I’ve had a low-key crush on him since I first started watching him (back in high school, which has been almost ten years ago!!). He has that baby face that many strive for, especially in his late twenties. His goofy personality is attractive, which makes him all the more sweet in the end. Overall, he’s truly a pleasure to watch!
