5 Ultimate Guilty Pleasure Songs

Greetings, everyone!

When it comes to music, perhaps you’re never without your earbuds or headphones to listen to your favorite tracks. Really, with the variety of songs out there today, your options for listening are endless.

Now, another thing to address is that not all songs are made equally: some are brilliant masterpieces while others are relegated as filler tracks just to complete an album. There are also those which are “guilty pleasure,” which fall somewhere between the two extremes, depending on how you look at them.

You might ask just what makes a song “guilty pleasure,” and the answer to that can be explained in three terms: 1) cheesy lyrics, 2) infectious melody, and 3) over-sentimentality. Don’t deny it: you’ve probably listened to those songs at some point in life! While these songs are unlikely to be shared with friends and family, you love them all the same, and with that, we say that there’s no judgment to listening to what you enjoy!

That said, I’ve compiled a brief list of some guilty pleasure songs which I’m not ashamed to admit are my favorites. Some are notoriously popular while others are song fillers, but nevertheless, I hope you enjoy them!

1. All Star (Smash Mouth).

2. Coulda Woulda Shoulda (Celine Dion).

3. Shape of My Heart (Backstreet Boys).

4. Stole My Heart (One Direction).

5. 22 (Taylor Swift).

What are your guilty pleasure songs? Let me know!
