Welcome to this month’s “Woman Crush fill-in-the-day-here.” For the month of December, I’m sharing my current girl crush with you, which is none other than Haley Pehrson, a model and actress known for her dark, sultry, and androgynous looks that could make any man or woman swoon (including me). ~
I first discovered Pehrson when I came across her role in Zolita’s “Holy” music video on Youtube (of which I gave my review of it; you can find it in this post). In the video, Pehrson plays the love interest to Zolita’s character, in a lesbian-themed mini story that just about gave me all of the queer feels. Her character oozed with sexiness, as well as devotion to Zolita’s character when she refused to leave her side in times of trouble (*semi-spoiler alert!).
As I’d mentioned above, what I love about Pehrson is that she’s androgynous: she does not ascribe to any gender norms in terms of beauty standards. She is able to pull off both the classy, feminine look, but also do the same with the masculine one…and she looks attractive either way! Just another way that gender norms are broken down in society, I suppose.
