You and Me- Lifehouse (SSJ #3)

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a “Sunday Slow-Jam,” but in any case, it’s back! šŸ˜€

Today’s feature is Lifehouse’s “You and Me,” a song which brings back so many memories for me as a teenager. The song first came out in 2005 (whoa, can’t believe it’s been ten years already!), and I first heard it played in the trailer for the rom-com flick “Imagine Me and You.” Since then, I fell in love with Lifehouse. ā¤

Although the lyrics to “You and Me” are simple, they are just so…heart-achingly swoon worthy. I mean, who can’t resist the opening lines?

“What day is it? And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive…”

…or the chorus?

“‘Cause it’s you and me and all of the people with nothing to do, nothing to lose
And it’s you and me and all of the people
And I don’t know why I can’t keep my eyes off of you…”

Definitely gives me the feels every time. This song is perfect for brooding over a breakup or unrequited love. And you can’t deny the fact that Jason Wade (the singer) is a total hottie. ā¤

Enjoy! šŸ™‚
